Reporter for SonicWall 1.0.1.17 (2017-02-28)
  • Fixed a significant performance issue that was introduced in build 1.0.1.13 resulting in slow data analysis affecting dashboards and reports.
  • Cleaned up Event Message values in SonicWall by stripping everything after "-".
Reporter for SonicWall 1.0.1.16 (2017-02-23)
  • The "Event Message" field now trims all data from the last ": " in the message to reduce uniqueness in output strings and improve report performance.
  • Fixed https traffic showing up as http.
  • Fixed pluralisation issues such as 'Search Termss' and 'Addresss'
  • YouTube searches are now included when reporting on the 'Search Terms' field.
  • Updated the "Top Site" report widget's filter to match "Site By Size" widget so that their data is consistent.

  • Diagnostic logging now has only three modes. Normal, Verbose and Full. Reworked Settings | Diagnostic UI with descriptions.
  • CSV export now uses UTF-8 encoding, allowing usage of unicode characters in report exports.
  • Security Group lookup now correctly handles nested groups (requires re-import of directory in Settings | Directory / LDAP).

  • Domains with trailing dots (for example apple.com.) are now extracted properly.
  • Corrected "That statistics below…" to "The statistics below…" on the Data Storage page.
  • Added more tracing (in Verbose diagnostic mode) for report generation data/proc threads to better identify the root cause of report performance issues.
Reporter for SonicWALL 1.0.1.8 (2016-08-03)
  • When you click pie chart slices on the dashboard, Fastvue Reporter now runs an Overview Report filtered by that slice for the past 12 hours.
  • Fixed issues that may cause data import to stop.

  • Fixed issues where Source Host resolution affected log import.
  • Source Host resolution now only resolves for RFC/IETF/IANA defined internal IP ranges (10./8, 172.16./12, 192.168./16, 169.254./16, fe80::/16, fc00::/7).
  • Source Host resolution is now background threaded on cache miss or expiration.

  • When running Activity Reports filtered by Search Terms, the Origin Domain field is now added as a column to the report instead of the Site Domain.
